So much time for Haim

If there is one band I am all round OBSESSED with it has to be Haim, the beautiful sisters from L.A. are the best dressed girl band of three I have ever came across (sorry, Destiny's Child).
The Haim sisters are known for their amazing indie/rock talent, amazing style and luscious, middle parted locks. They are ultimately everything I wish I looked like; with an incredible leather jacket, denim shorts and ankle boot collection between them, Este, Danielle and Alana Haim pull off the most effortlessly cool looks on and off stage, and here are some of my favourite looks to prove it:

Quick Side Note.

I've been extremely busy this year as it has been my first year at university, however, this year is almost up for me. With one exam out the way and one left to power through I cannot wait to have mass amounts of free time this summer. I've promised myself that I will regularly update this blog as much as I find its possible over the summer and I am really looking forward to doing it. Ive wanted to start a fashion blog for a while and this time I can tell i'm going to keep it up. :)

Harrys Style

We all know and love the worlds most famous boy band, One Direction; their catchy pop hits along with their lovely faces.  And as of late their individual style. Mainly focusing on Harry Styles himself. His name is a dead giveaway and I ensure he is living up to all expectations. Winning a British Fashion Award in 2013, Harry has shown us his effortlessly cool outfits and I'd be lying if I said I haven't been taking inspiration from them:

Harry Styles in Brazil sight seeing wearing oversized hat (a fave of mine I've mentioned in past posts), aviator sunglasses and a flannel shirt. An effortless 'I'm in a band' look.
At the brits wearing Burberrys most popular item last season: the heart shirt. Seen worn by many celebs like, George Craig, Alex Turner and Victoria Beckham. This look was a huge hit and you can find similar pieces from the likes of boohoo.com and TopShop.
Channeling the amazing Rolling Stones drummer Keith Richards. Finding a healthy balance between Keef and Jagger, Harry steps out with the iconic stones look: scarf as a head band, pairs with a vintage suede coat and the skinniest of jeans/legs that I'm v jealous of
Collecting his Style award, Styles has put together a classic all black outfit, with a sheer shirt and grey scarf draped around him. (So chic, so fashion
Taking dreamboat to a next level Harry Turned up at the Burberry fashion show in another classic pea coat  (which if you give a quick google he's a massive fan of) but this time paired with a leopard t-shirt and ripped jeans, giving off a tailored look but with a more grungy edge.
One of my favourite pieces worn by Harry, is the sheepskin trimmed Alexander McQueen cashmere coat, perfect for winter and is a true simple statement coat. If you're finished with it HS send it my way please?

Top favourite things in my make-up bag.

I'm not a beauty guru so my face isn't covered with MAC beauty products (unless its a gift) and I'm a student so Chanel is completely out of the question too, but, I do love wearing make up so I thought I'd share what I use on a regular basis.

I was always sceptical about BB creams, will I get good coverage? Does it stay on all day? but I gave in to the media adverts of 'I never went back after trying BB cream' and I hate to be that person but I actually never went back. This Maybelline BB cream (£6.99) has helped clear up my skin, cover blemishes while still being light on my face.
I think all good foundations need to start off with a great base, and this Baby Skin Primer (£7.99) is one of my favourites it makes my skin feel so smooth and keeps my foundation on for longer too. It also smells a little like Mr Kipling cherry bakewells.
I got this Lancome Make Up Remover (Bi-Facil £21.00) as part of a gift set and I have to say it is THE BEST.  The smallest amount goes such a long way, takes off all my make-up, even all my mascara, without leaving my face greasy or extremely dry like many other cleansers/removers I've used.
The cat flick eyeliner has been a part of my daily life for about 5 years now, and I've been through an uncountable amount of liquid eyeliner. Out of all of the brands I've tried (including MAC waterproof) this Revlon ColorStay (£7.99) comes out on top. Its easy to apply, affordable, stays on all day without cracking and is one of the blackest blacks (which is very important to me because I hate when they look faded).
This product was given to me by a friend who tried it out and said she didn't really like it. However, when I tried it out I absolutely loved it, I have quite thick eyebrows and this Maybelline Brow Drama (£4.99) is perfect for keeping them in place, if its for a night out or even through the day I find it thickens the hairs and really helps with the shaping, perfect for helping to achieve the Cara Delevingne style brow.
This is probably my favourite of them all, I love a glowy skin look and this MUA Highlighter  is amazing for that. Applied along the cheek and brow bones can help bring out your best bone structure. And with it being only £3.00!! I suggest if you want it, to stock up because they sell out (Superdrug) insanely quick.

Although most of my make-up items fall below the £10 mark, some even £5, I do think it is important to find a good mascara. This Lancome Hypnose Star comes in at £22.50 but I swear by it. I love the thick bristled brush as it gives volume and length to my eyelashes (which helps majorly as I'm not really into false eyelashes). However, if you're looking for a great drug store branded mascara try Maybelline Falsies, that was my previous product before I found this lovely one.

I LOVE TOPSHOP. Everything about it, the clothes, the make-up and especially the lipsticks. This Lipstick in the colour Screen Siren (£8.00) is creamy and well pigmented, I find the colours do last for a long time and even when they do wear off they don't leave you with that embarrassing 90's mum lip liner and nothing else look around your mouth. Another colour to try out (which is my ultimate number one red lipstick) is Rio Rio red by TopShop, its more of a vibrant red whereas this has a darker/slightly pink element to it.

Alexa Chung Loves a Tux

There are many things we all love about Alexa Chung, her flawless face, her Mulberry bags, her dungaree collection, her amazing book. But one thing I am truly obsessed with is the fact she can pull off a tux better than any male seen (even around the time of the Oscars). By adding a feminine twist to a masculine, classic look Alexa can put together a look at least 300% better than any gown on the red carpet. So enjoy this collection of Alexa Chung in tailored inspired outfits, just in case you want to go to a wedding and look better than the bride/groom combined.

I Adore Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has made more than a come back since 'we can't stop' and I, personally, can't stop obsessing over her style. On stage or even out shopping, as of late Miley Cyrus has looked amazing. With the Bangerz tour just beginning I thought I'd put together some of my favourite outfits of hers since her transformation (a.k.a. since she shaved her hair off).

A gold sequin co-ord, full length fur coat (that could make a certain Disney villain rather jealous) and matching lipstick with the inner lining? If any celebrities outfit nailed 'new years eve' in New York it would be this one.
Two things I love: 1) Award Shows and 2) Jumpsuits. So overall, this is a complete winner for me as Miley looks amazing is this embroidered, monochrome one piece.
Keeping the accessories to a minimum and teaming it with a leather jacket is all that's needed to complete another monochrome look (someones been taking style tips from Robin Thicke since the VMA's). Striped maxi dress with cut out shoulders worn at fashion week has a simple but an effortlessly cool look.
Oversized blazer draped over the shoulders paired with white denim shorts, a band shirt and gold Chanel accessories (including gold Chanel flatforms = 😍), Miley has mixed together an professional look with summers day in L.A for an incredible outfit.
Even taking a trip to Starbucks, Miley gets 10 out of 10 fashion points. Stone wash, high waist, ripped boyfriend jeans are going to be massive this summer. And with a basic black crop top, oversized bag and ballet flats has to be the best way to wear them.
On the way to the studio, wearing all black, with a bleach blonde pixie crop, leather jacket and sunglasses? Probably the best way to show that she's the coolest popstar around right now.
Amazing silky patterned shirt, with oversized sunglasses and a pastel pink Chanel mini that's to die for. However, those buck teeth are the ultimate accessory to set this look off. That's probably a fact.

Double denim, bralette and shorts accessorised with a giant flower crown Miley looks fit for a Lana Del Rey music video while walking round the streets of New York.
